Now the Left-end wingman is guards lieutenant-colonel Alexey Prokhorov, the Right-end wingman is guards lieutenant-colonel Dmitry Kopossov.

February 28 is a birthday of Igor Sokolov! Congratulations!!

Guards lieutenant colonel, aerobatic team deputy leader. Left wingman since beginning of 2008.
Igor Sokolov was born on February 28, 1968. In 1989 he graduated the Chernigov Air Force Academy.During his duty he became familiar with Yak-52, L-39, Su-25, Mig-29 aircrafts. His total flying time in these types of aircraft is more than 700 hours. Perform group aerobatic since 1993. He is qualified as a class 1 pilot.
Igor is married. He has a daughter. His hobby is personal computers.
February 18, 2008 is the Birthday of Nikolay Dyatel! Congratulations!!!

Nikolay Dyatel was born on February 18, 1965. In 1986 he graduated the Chernigov Air Force Academy. During his duty he became familiar with L-39, Mig-23, Mig-29 aircrafts. His total flying time in these types of aircraft is 2,100 hours. He is qualified as a pilot-sniper.
Nikolay is married. He has a son. His hobby is hunting and fishing.
Nikolay Dyatel, since year 1999 until 2007 leader pilot of “Strizhi” aerobatic team and master of single and formation aerobatic flying. Member of team from 1991.
Since year 1992 Nikolay performed complicated aerobatic figures on Mig-29 fighter using extremal flight modes, like stalled turns, low speed passes (slower than 190 kmph), the “Bell” and all the figures of inverted aerobatics.
Inverted aerobatics has all the same aerobatic elements but in inverted plane position. Such flying is far out of the Mig-29 flight manual and not many even ace pilots can do it.
Nikolay Dyatel has left the Strizhi Aerobatic Team at the end of 2007.

Alexander Belov was born in March 12, 1974. He graduated from Kacha Air force High School in 1996. He flew Yak-52, L-39, MiG-29, he had flew aerobatics since 2004 here at Kubinka Air force base, in our Strizhi Aerobatic Team.
Guards lieutenant-colonel Alexander Belov died today at 5 am February 2, 2008.
He left son and daughter.

Guards lieutenant-colonel Alexander Belov have been buried in the morning of February 5 2008, at the Nikolskoye cemetery near Kubinka Air force base.
He have been attended to funeral under the An-30 low level flight, and the fire a salute of three salvoes.

On the 6 of May Strizhi aerobatic team will celebrate their 16s birthday. During 16 years Strizhi are demonstrating the best of the Soviet and Russian Air Forces.
