Take off for the “Gidroaviasalon-2006″, Gelendzhik
On the 2nd of September six Su-27 of “Russian Knights” and five Mig-29 of “Strizhi” will take off for the airbase “Krymsk” to take a part in “Gidroaviasalon-2006″ air salon, Gelendzhik
Both teams will stay on the “Krymsk” a/b from 2nd till 12 of September. During the air salon both teams will perform the “big nine” program - 5 Su-27 and 4 Mig-29. Program starts from the Dmitriy Koposov’s (Strizhi) solo flight, afterwords comes the “big nine” and program goes as usual. In addition, Russian Knights are going to demonstrate own 6 planes formation program.
Nikolay Dyatel will perform on the show as flight control officer.
Demo flight for the Finland Air Force Commander delegation
24th of August Kubinka will demonstrate united and separate aerobatic flights of “Strizhi” and “Russian Knights” teams for the Finland Air Force Command delegation.
Strizhi will not participate in Brno this year
Strizhi aerobatic team will not participate on the CIAF 2006 in Brno.
Strizhi team members are very upset about this issue, unfortunatelly this decision was made by the reasons beyond the control of the team.
Nikolay Dyatel is clear to take off
Nikolay Dyatel has successfully passed all the necessary medical surveys (after his ejection from Mig-29UB tail no. 01) and now is qualified for the flights. Still, he will not participate in demo flight in front of Finland Air Force Command on 24th of August.
Tail No.01 has returned to Kubinka
Mig-29UB tail No.01 (crashed near Perm 27 of July) was returned to Kubinka. There is no exact plans for this aircraft right now, still its condition is unrecoverable.

Stupino demo flight
Three Mig-29 of Strizhi team has successfully performed short demo program in Stupino, Moscow on the FAI World Parachuting Championship closing, 19th of August.
