Strizhi are back to the base
Today at 15:10 all the Strizhi aerobatic team and 5 aircrafts has landed at home Kubinka airbase.

Today, 27 of July at 15:16 Moscow time Mig-29UB tail No. 1 of Strizhi aerobatic team has crashed immediately after take-off, near the airfield. Pilot Nikolay Dyatel and navigator Sergey Kurilenko (on the photo) has successfully ejected.
Strizhi aerobatic team were flying to Tyumen according their display schedule.
They were following the route Kubinka - “Bolshoe Savino” - Tyumen, with refuel landing in “Bolshoe Savino” airbase, Perm region.
After take-off pilots has ejected and tail no.1 has crashed. The preliminary reason is birds hitted into both engines.
Pilot Nikolay Dyatel feel good now, recovering after accident. Nikolay Kurilenko, 237th demonstration center navigator has leg dislocation and now is in hospital.
27 of the July, 6 tails of Strizhi aerobatic team has left for the Tyumen to participate in demonstration flight, planned for the 30th of July. Flight is associated with City Day of the Tyumen. On the 1st of August team should fly back.

22nd of July: Strizhi has successfully performed demonstration flight over Mozhaisk, Moscow. Flight was associated with unveiling of the monument on the final defense line before Moscow during WWII. Were flying 6 tails.
Tail No.6 has received light FOD (foreign object damage) of the engine, fortunatelly nothing serious. Only additional work for the technicians as a result.
