Nikolay Dyatel was born on February 18, 1965. In 1986 he graduated the Chernigov Air Force Academy. During his duty he became familiar with L-39, Mig-23, Mig-29 aircrafts. His total flying time in these types of aircraft is 2,100 hours. He is qualified as a pilot-sniper.
Nikolay is married. He has a son. His hobby is hunting and fishing.
Nikolay Dyatel, leader pilot of “Strizhi” aerobatic team is master of single and formation aerobatic flying. Member of team from 1991. Since 1992 performing complicated aerobatic figures on Mig-29 fighter using extremal flight modes, like stalled turns, low speed passes (slower then 190 kmph), the “Bell” and all the figures of inverted aerobatics. Inverted aerobatics has all the same aerobatic elements but in inverted plane position. Such flying is far out of the Mig-29 flight manual and not many even ace pilots can do it.
